Artistic mural – Jordane Saget

Jordane Saget: The Poet of Lines

French contemporary artist Jordane Saget has made a name for himself through a simple gesture that has become his signature: the line. His white, flowing, interwoven patterns spread across walls, floors, and even everyday objects. Inspired by a form of meditation in motion, his work moves between spontaneous drawing and abstract writing.

Self-taught, he began drawing on the streets of Paris, turning urban space into a playground for free expression. His hypnotic, dreamlike style quickly gained attention, leading to collaborations with major cultural institutions and international brands. Despite this recognition, his approach remains accessible and deeply human. His work encourages viewers to slow down, observe, and let themselves be carried by the rhythm of the lines.

An Immersive Artwork at L’Aventure du Sucre

In this same spirit, the artist recently brought his distinctive lines to L’Aventure du Sucre. There, he created a unique floor artistic mural designed as a visual thread. Rather than simply being observed, the piece actively guides visitors, leading them step by step toward the museum’s entrance.

A Line as an Invitation to Journey

Stretching across the ground like a fluid pathway, the artistic mural unfolds in an endless interplay of white lines. These intertwining forms create a captivating, almost hypnotic route. By following it, visitors begin their experience even before stepping inside the museum.

The choice of the floor is intentional: it transforms an ordinary walk into a true artistic journey.

Where Contemporary Art Meets Heritage

Saget’s work at L’Aventure du Sucre perfectly illustrates the dialogue between modernity and heritage. On one side stands a museum deeply rooted in Mauritian history; on the other, a contemporary artist offering a minimalist and universal artistic language.

This artistic mural draws attention, sparks curiosity, and invites visitors to explore the site. It also highlights how contemporary art can enrich heritage spaces, bringing new energy and perspective.
